Anyway, I'm not yet 31 so I'm going to nick the idea (I WISH I remembered where I'd seen it!) as I really liked the idea of writing down your goals so that you don't lose track of them... And while I am not promising to do them by the time I'm 31 (because that is scarily close!!) I will try and get round to them over the next year. I'll come back and cross them out as I achieve them!
- Make the insane city quilt
- Go camping - we have the tent but in a cast it isn't so easy!
- (related to 2) Manage to get through at least 3 months without a hospital visit - this should be easy but I've had a bit of a stressful year with accidents!
- Make a dress - it's next on the sewing challenges list.
- Finish the crazy bird mosaic.
- Book onto a new mosaic course.
- Sell over 25 items on Etsy (I'm over half way!)
- Do a craft fair - my 2 goals for 2011 were Etsy and Craft Fair - I just haven't plucked up the courage for the craft fair yet.
- Go out somewhere at least once a week - it's too easy to sit inside and watch rubbish TV
- Learn how to bake my own bread. Mmm
- Grow tomatoes - although at the moment I would go with managing to keep something alive!
- Visit Scotland and Ireland - I've lived in Bangladesh, Russia, taken the Trans-Sib from Vladivostok but never been to Edinburgh? How could that have happened?
- Learn to drive - it's becoming embarassing.
- Do a video tutorial on the blog...keep your eyes peeled!
- Finish writing the children's story I've been writing forever.
- Read over 50 books in a year.
- Declutter...
- Try to cook something new every week - or at least every fortnight.
- Host a giveaway (that should be coming soon!)
- Create designs for monsters and make them.
- Go on a massage course
- Learn more about music - I can usually sing something but never have a clue who sang it or what the title is!
- Have over 1000 twitter followers.
- Go travelling... so if I'm suddenly quite silent...
- Get my business cards and website sorted out.
- Save a bit of money (or 24 will never happen!)
- Make A Granny A Day
- Visit New Zealand and Australia
- Eat more healthily
- Continue enjoying life generally!
So there you have it - some of my goals for the next year or two. Not resolutions: if I don't get round to them, I'm not that bothered really. I realise there's a lot of travel and craft based stuff on here - but that sounds about right to me!!
What are your goals for the next year?

I am glad to see that you are already planning for the new year 5 months ahead while most of us do it...after christmas :)
Ah no, those would be resolutions- I only ever make one of those as otherwise you never stick to them. These are some things I would like to achieve but won't be heart-broken if I fail!
A great selection of goals! You've really inspired me to do my own. I saw someone had the idea of 'blogging for confidence' and setting goals of things they wish they could achieve like wearing red lipstick or knitting in public. Seems really fun. I think I'm going to do a mixture of these ideas :))
Great list! I'm a bit too late to make a 30 things before 30 list, I'm nearer the 40 before 40!!
WOW! That is some list!! A couple of things surprised me...like #8, do a craft fair. I was so sure with all of your great abilities, you had a regular craft thing going on! I have NEVER done this either!! I wish my health was such that I could! I think I'd love sitting and talking to people while I was crocheting!!...{And by the way, I've never done #10 either...and am in no hurry to try! LOL}...#13 was a shocker!! Really?!...Really?!...Do you live near lots of subways?! That would explain things. My mother-in-law never drove her whole life either. I loved it so much!! And miss it now. LEARN Girl!! A whole world will open up to you!!...#15, I am in awe! (I also wrote a book about my life. It's 12 years waiting for me to do some editing, so I cam MAYBE submit it somewhere!!)...#16 and #18, have fun with those!...I could probably teach you #22! LOL...And #29 and #30...I concur! :-) Great post!
Great goals! If you ever want tips or help with craft fairs feel free to drill me with questions! That was my goal for last year and boy have I ever learned a lot from jumping into markets! Good luck!
Go for it!
